I replied affirmatively to a text that, without me realizing, locked me into a year-long agreement with their bookkeeping service. I thought they would’ve been clearer about me actually signing a contract.

So far, my experience with Bench has been pretty smooth. I used to rely on QuickBooks for my business needs, but I had to ditch them because of their lousy customer support and a bunch of mistakes they made, not to mention other problems. Bench is definitely on the pricey side for a small business, so just a heads up. I think the starting fee is about $500 a month. Honestly, they don’t provide $500 worth of service for my business size each month. I keep shelling out the cash because they’re easy to deal with, and no local bookkeeper seems interested in helping me out. I’d still suggest giving Bench a shot mainly because it’s user-friendly, which is super important when you’re trying to run a business. With Bench handling the background stuff, I can concentrate on what really counts to boost my earnings and expand. Bench is worthy of 5 stars, so don’t let my 3-star rating mislead you. I just gotta be honest, and for them to hit that 5-star mark, they’d need to slash their monthly rate in half.

Honestly, I can't recommend Bench at all. It's a mess. There are just too many folks involved in one account, making it impossible to get things done well or quickly. Picture trying to run a business with four CEOs. You'd never get anything accomplished since the decision-makers are all over the place. That's the vibe you get when dealing with Bench. Make sure to do your homework before signing up if you decide to go that route.

I began using Bench a couple of months back and honestly, I’m not too thrilled. My main contact is pretty short with me, doesn’t appear to care much about my needs, and hasn’t wrapped up my accounts from two months prior. I feel a bit reluctant to reach out to her since her replies come off as if she’s bothered by my inquiries.

The bench has been performing great for us. We linked our business bank account and credit card, and since then, we only get alerts when a transaction requires labeling. For the majority of transactions, our support team has managed to use the transaction history to categorize them. Typically, the response time is just a few hours. I really recommend it.

The downside is that I’m not the best at bookkeeping since I don’t really get it. I could’ve used a bit more guidance and support to really grasp the advantages of this service. I know it’s not a bookkeeper’s job to teach, but maybe adding a more educational aspect to Bench’s offerings would be helpful. All in all, I’m really pleased and thankful for the assistance!
